Education Committee
To advise the staff on real estate related courses to offer based on industry trends. To recommend programs, instructors, and topics for Lunch & Learns and to help monitor and assist with these classes and programs. Meets quarterly.
Equity, Diversity & Inclusion
This committee supports and promotes equity, diversity, and inclusion within Mid-Shore Board of REALTORS and the communities we serve. Inclusion of diversity is within the Associations governance. MSBR will develop and recommend strategies and actions that will identify, engage, recruit and mentor future leaders at the local and state levels who represent the diversity of our markets, the membership of our association and encourage community engagement. Meets quarterly.
Government Affairs Committee
To review and analyze local and state legislation affecting real estate. To develop and maintain favorable relations with local and state legislators from Caroline, Dorchester and Talbot Counties and the state of Maryland. Meets monthly to review city and county legislation affecting real estate and property rights and weekly from January to the end of March during legislative session to review state bills affecting real estate.
Membership Committee
This committee works closely with the staff to organize networking and association events and community service fundraisers. They make recommendations to the Board of Directors on new member services and help with social media, communications, and the technical side of the industry. Meets monthly.
